Congratulations to Chris and Emily who were awarded WJR Scholar Athletes of the Year and will receive a scholarship in their names. Both seniors were among several other WJR senior athletes from throughout the league that submitted applications for this honor. A panel of judges represented by the 5 race clubs selected them. Chris will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, while Emily will attend University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall. Congratulations Chris & Emily

Great job SWAT racers this past week. At the JO's qualifiers,  Jake, Harry and Spencer all qualified for the Junior Olympic Championships next month in Colorado.
Breaking news this night that SWAT racers Alex (Muskego), Stephanie (Muskego) and Julie (Franklin) will be representing Wisconsin at the HS Nationals next month in New Hampshire.

Our deadline to book rooms for the Thanksgiving Camp is fast approaching at AmericInn in Iron River. We still have rooms blocked under SWAT for a discount $$. The deadline to book your room is this SUNDAY. After Sunday they will release the rooms to the general public. When I spoke with manager tonight she indicated that they are almost full – don’t delay! Wisconsin Junior Race League (WJR) is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy competition through downhill ski racing. Wisconsin Junior Race League is offering a $500.00 Scholarship to any senior boy and girl WJR participant with at least three years competing in the WJR program to further their education and pursue a productive and rewarding life. This scholarship by no means a sponsorship to pursue skiing endeavors. You can download the application form in the Members Info tab.
