You got to like the slight nip in the air these days. Dryland training is in full swing Coach George, Coach Craig & Coach Dave spending their Sunday’s with the kids to enhance their skiing abilities for later this winter. (see Coach George’s latest email) The racer season pass application is now posted on the website under Member Info – Forms. Hopefully you all received the information regarding our Thanksgiving Camp. Rooms have been blocked under SWAT at the AmericInn® of Iron River, MI. Give them a call. Ski ya later!

The WJR/WIJARA Spring Fling is coming back to  Mt. Lacrosse for the 2010 season. The Sixth Annual Spring Championship Race at Mt. Lacrosse will be held March 6-7, 2010.   The management and staff of Mt. La Crosse are pleased to welcome the WJR and WIJARA racers to the sixth annual Spring Fling.  We look forward to a good time and a fun racing experience again this season.  Hope you will all come again and bring your fellow ski racers.
The registration form is posted on the Mt. La Crosse web site along with the release of Liability form and the informational fact sheet.

Our two young racers that competed in the J-4 Junior Olympics gained some vary valuable experiences last week at Winter Park. Harry & Kyle competed in the SL, GS & Downhill. Great Job guys! We are proud of both of you.

A few SWAT families, racers and alumni competed this past weekend in the Spring Carnival at Marquette Mountain. A few of the highlights were Jordan bringing home the weekend J2 Championship while Chris competing as a J1 brought home the championship as well. Jordan & Chris both competed in the speed trap with Jordan being clocked at 68 MPH while Chris came down the hill with a blistering 69 MPH! Former SWAT & Minnesota racer Nick smoked the field on Saturday winning the Budweiser Cup trophy. But the highlight of the week was when former SWAT racers Marcus, Jessie, Nick & current racers Chris & Jordan competed in the Firehose race as “George’s Closet.” Nice ski wear! Check out who is on the chair in the background.

MindWorks Photography is named the Official Photography for the High School Nationals to be held March 13-15 at Cannon Mountain New Hampshire! You guys are the BEST!

Excellent job goes out to Colby, Harry & Kyle for qualifying for the J3-4 Junior Olympics!
Cody will be traveling to Vail & Beaver Creek to compete from March 4-11 while Harry & Kyle will be making their trek to Winter Park from March 17-21.
